Synopsis

After arriving at the inn, the group has a somewhat tense dinner where Kyal's attempt to be friendly with a server is misinterpreted, leading to an intervention by another member. The chapter introduces a noble, who is on the run from her family, and reveals she was kidnapped as part of a plot by her brother. She then proceeds to explain the complexities of mages within noble families. Ultimately, she offers the group an enormous payment for safe passage to her family lands, which the protagonist accepts, delaying his own journey.
