Synopsis

The chapter focuses on the protagonist reflecting on how his game character, Granpfell, is affecting his real life. He allocates stat points, focusing on mana and also reflecting on luck. Simultaneously, the narrative switches to other players discussing a mysterious, powerful player who avoids magic and uses a dagger, and who seems to have profoundly impacted another player's choice to become an analyst rather than a player. The chapter ends on a note of tension as the player who had been scouting the mysterious player suspects that he has received a tempting offer from another guild, stirring up panic and competition.
