Synopsis

Jaeju, after surviving a dangerous 'initiation' by Palaham, seeks training to become a warrior. Palaham, despite his initial hostility due to past grievances with the Empire and travelers, eventually agrees, albeit in his own eccentric way. He reveals the recurring catastrophic destruction of Taruha, caused by a blooming organism that spawns monsters and explains his hatred for the Empire stemmed from the death of his son. Jaeju agrees to a seemingly simple mission before continuing his training.
