Synopsis

The chapter opens with a court official, Sir Fordrick, expressing his concerns about the rushed and unfair trial of the Second Prince for the Emperor's assassination. Despite these concerns, the trial proceeds and quickly concludes with a guilty verdict, with no opportunity for defense. The protagonist, Jaeju, initially dismissive of the situation, experiences a dream about the trial, which makes him realize something is wrong. He becomes resolute in taking action, while other characters share details of the Second Prince's supposed crime and the general consensus is that the trial was rigged.
