Synopsis

The chapter opens with the group desperately fleeing assassins, seeking refuge in the perilous Electric Forest. Davey pushes his powers to the limit to protect the group. They are rescued by a royal carriage, but the appearance of the carriage and the realization of their status as refugees cause the Princess to lament her mixed-blood status. Sir Bellous, the sword master of the imperial family, steps forward to promise a full investigation and rectification of the wrongs suffered by the princess and her people. The chapter ends with the group pondering the nature of the lightning and the black-haired man, suggesting an immense power at play.
