Synopsis

The chapter introduces a diverse group of students, including Barion, Sharpei Klaus, Benjamin, and Daven, all deemed failures in the academy's traditional ranking system. These 'ugly ducklings' are gathered by an ambitious leader to form a new club, 'Soar', intended to rival an established one. Doubts are expressed about their ability to compete, but a merchant association, inexplicably supportive of the club's leader, offers to fund their activities. The leader reveals a desire to acquire something for himself, hinting at further developments.
