Synopsis

The protagonist, while being watched by guards due to suspicion of being a spy, uses a wig to hide a fictional scar, successfully deceiving his captors. He then manipulates a progress report about himself, intentionally devaluing his abilities to avoid drawing attention from the Empire. He reveals a plan to contact an ally in 'Acadio,' suggesting a change of course from their original plan. The chapter also highlights the protagonist's discomfort with paternal interactions and reveals that a spy has been found but that there could be more.
