Synopsis

Chris, Raihan's former shadow escort, is revealed to have supplied incriminating evidence against him to Marquis Dorian due to a long-held grudge. Meanwhile, the aftermath of the royal banquet is explored, as the characters grapple with the demon summoning revelation and the subsequent accusations. Duke Carlson proposes a solution to appease the public and raise the royal family's standing by confiscating Raihan's wealth. Finally, the story returns to the events that motivated Dorian as Luther Carlson unexpectedly asks for the protagonist to heal his son Thein, with the implication that this healing may be the first step in the protagonist's larger scheme.
