Synopsis

The chapter reveals a conspiracy involving the creation of adventurer gates by a black magician, leading to the downfall of the Maple World. The protagonist, seeking to avert a similar future, uses his connections to a merchant union to gain access to a red-level gate. He purchases a seemingly broken slave, who was once a famed polearm user and a key figure in the world's past demise, and forms a contract with him.
