The chapter begins with the group strategizing to destroy the remaining two statues by splitting into two teams. One team discovers that the island they arrived on has a hostile tribe with firearms, vastly different from the previous island's monsters. They encounter the tribe's chief and anticipate a difficult fight. Meanwhile, the other team successfully destroys a statue, which leads them to believe they completed the objective only to realize a new wave of enemies did not come.
The group splits up to destroy the remaining statues, but one group encounters a significantly more advanced and hostile tribe with firearms. Meanwhile, another group successfully destroys a statue, only to find that it did not trigger another wave of enemies as expected.
