Synopsis

The chapter begins with the Lionheart King addressing new recruits, outlining his laws with harsh punishments for theft. He declares physical training will be the focus, referencing a famed military manual advocating for grueling workouts. A recruit is caught stealing, resulting in the King’s standard punishment, which is an amputation. Ultimately the recruits challenge his strict rules based on their differences. Thanks to the reasoning of one of the new recruits, the king relents on his penalty and miraculously restores the thief's severed arm.
