Synopsis

The chapter opens with the main characters discovering that the scarecrows in the field are actually monsters, not ordinary ones. Meanwhile, a group of thieves, aware of the special properties of the rice, attempts to steal the seeds and burn the field. They encounter the seemingly harmless scarecrows, unaware of their true nature, and start questioning the strange circumstances, including the presence of mines. The chapter concludes with the thieves beginning to realize that something is wrong as the scarecrows surround them, and some of their group have mysteriously vanished.
