Synopsis

The chapter begins with a philosophical discussion on humanity's weaknesses and then shifts to the main character's encounter with a tribe of seemingly hostile Orcs. They are easily defeated using a sleep spell, revealing their low magic resistance. Simultaneously, plans are laid out to unify the races for a greater purpose with the help of Orc champions. Lestin reflects on his past life and current situation, aiming to increase his influence within the ruling power, using knowledge of the past to strengthen his position among the 'Sage of Silver'.
