Synopsis

The chapter opens with the revelation that a blood jiangshi has broken a seal, demonstrating surprising intelligence by understanding human language and attempting a sneak attack. The protagonist decides he must use his life's cultivation, a venomous 'Gu' body, to defeat the creature which he sees as a disaster. He also accepts his fate and apologizes to his grandmother for failing to continue his bloodline. Before engaging the jiangshi, he gives a pearl to someone as well.
