Synopsis

The chapter opens with a young appraiser being insulted by an older appraiser named Ye-Lao after the young one questions the authenticity of an ancient sword. Ye-Lao, feeling challenged, insists on bidding and having the item appraised by professionals rather than trusting the young man's quick judgment. Later, Ye-Lao is revealed to have a hidden motive, inviting the young appraiser and a third party who is also an appraiser into the auction.
