Synopsis

The chapter opens with the protagonist grappling with the decision to leave his comrades, feeling indebted to them but understanding a more crucial task demands his attention. He is told to do what needs to be done, regardless of the situation. He decides to entrust the soldiers' safety to Captain Maxman and undertakes a large-scale action, causing a structure to collapse, potentially disrupting a ritual being conducted by enemies. The protagonist is then shown to be confronting an enemy attack that consumes mana, but he defiantly prepares to fight back despite being weakened.
