Synopsis

The chapter opens with panicked reports as Roman Dmitri single-handedly decimates enemy forces and creates an impassable fire. Trapped, the troops attempt to retreat through a weak point in the northern gate. However, Roman reveals his actions were a calculated trap, intending to prevent any escape and slaughter all of the remaining enemy forces. He challenges them, dismissing their accusations of cowardice by revealing that all of this was intended, and they were never given an equal playing field.
