Synopsis

The chapter begins with the group grappling with the barrier around Sillukia and the possibility of her death if Javier breaks it. Simultaneously, Lloyd arrives in Namaran and uses his knowledge and financial promises to gain support for fixing the crumbling lands while secretly investigating Cannavaro. They discover a pattern, suspected to be linked to black magic and the barrier, that's also being used as a popular item, complicating their investigation into Cannavaro. Lloyd manipulates the situation while also being perceived as noble and capable by the locals, although his methods are questionable.
