Synopsis

The chapter begins with the protagonist discovering a pattern linking a 'dark empress' to a barrier incident, which contradicts the novel's original plot, forcing him to take action. He then finds himself bombarded with marriage proposals, most notably from a desperate Count Cremo, whom he rejects, along with all the other offers, due to both personal preference and political concerns. Finally, it's revealed the protagonist is being monitored by the kingdom, who are sending an envoy to a rival faction.
