Synopsis

The protagonist realizes the elves' hollow eyes and lack of wildlife in their forest indicate they are carnivores starving due to the absence of animals. They manipulate the elves using a mandragora to gain a tactical advantage, forcing them to retreat. Finally, the protagonist signals their location and joins up with allies, though some members are shaken by recent events.
