Synopsis

The chapter opens with a sudden attack on the Black Mage Targas' ancient castle, with mages using fire magic in defense. The attacking force is monstrous and overwhelming, causing a retreat. Later, a character is at a wedding, revealing their schemes to use their connection to Samarkand as a bargaining chip against the Queen and their desire to avoid succession struggles. They also express happiness while contemplating saving lives and avoiding a depressing fate.
