Synopsis

The chapter opens with a group searching for firearms unsuccessfully, led by Wang Congyang who is suspected to be related to Wang Dongyang. Meanwhile, a band of individuals returns from a failed expedition with a terrible guide, who apparently died gruesomely, highlighting the dangers of the area. Ren Xiaosu is revealed to have been involved in their failed trip and deftly avoids being asked to guide them again by manipulating Wang Fugui.
