Synopsis

Mord is recognized for his accomplishment of defeating a demon baron and promoted to an intermediate-rank warrior. He attends a banquet for accomplished warriors, encountering several successor candidates from the Vernars family. Three candidates, Dren, Viden, and Erna, vie for his attention, with Dren making a public apology to gain favor, and Erna creating conflict with her siblings. Mord observes each candidate to determine their motivations and loyalty, with a mysterious Hurran finally arriving as well.
