Synopsis

The chapter begins with the villain declaring his intentions, only to have his power stolen by the protagonist. Meanwhile, a separate group investigates the disappearance of the Crown of Omniscience. Flashbacks reveal the villain's origin: he was a survivor who gained power from a jewel, survived an attack from gods, and made a pact with the kingdom's first monarch. The chapter concludes with the protagonist taunting the villain about his past and revealing the true nature of their deal.
