Synopsis

The chapter begins with the Headmaster discussing Ann, a student with incredible insight but no magical talent, with Professor Siegfried. Despite recognizing Ann's potential, Siegfried refuses to mentor her, scarred by past betrayals and determined to work alone. Later, the focus shifts to Finn, who has made significant progress due to the use of 'Apophis X' and other students observing his progress, as well as another student trying hard to improve his research. There are hints of a potential conspiracy with the Third Elder and an underlying theme of strict talent-based evaluation.
