Synopsis

The chapter introduces Jamie Welton, a young prodigy from a prestigious family, who is now a temporary professor at a renowned magic academy. He is greeted with a mix of awe and skepticism by the academy's elders, some who doubt his abilities and others who are impressed. Jamie demonstrates his mastery of magic and swordplay, surprising those present. Despite this, the headmaster quickly contracts him for a month long post, in contrast to his initial intent to learn magic faster.
