Synopsis

The chapter begins with Krion, having died, going back in time to just before a large battle. He reflects on the burning anger he felt at Jamie Welton's grand magician appointment years prior, and how it motivated him to obtain power that allowed him to break the Grandmaster wall. This allowed him to nullify attacks, but it was not enough to stop his previous death. He encounters and fights Vincent, a person empowered by the Genis Church to kill Jamie, who can absorb his magic attacks. He vows to defeat Vincent while realizing his opponent is also a natural enemy.
