Synopsis

The chapter opens with the dark magician, Diablo Volpir, being sealed by the gods, vowing revenge upon his reawakening. He then finds himself reborn as Jamie Welton, a nobleman's son. Jamie navigates the awkwardness of his new life with doting parents, a little sister, and a constant stream of affection while internally strategizing his future retribution against the gods, and coming to terms with his weakened state. The chapter ends with the arrival of a powerful, mysterious magician, who seems to be assessing Jamie's potential.
