Synopsis

The chapter begins with the opening party for the Academy's competition (ICS) being held in the Interverse, a virtual world. Professor Sylar explains how the Interverse has dramatically changed people's lives. The students are tasked with world design. Prejudice is apparent against students from certain cities. The protagonist's team analyzes their competition, particularly focusing on the teams of their former friends, including the Metal Sharks, a team fueled by a past betrayal. Finally, the surprise announcement is the competition changing to an AOS mode within the existing HOT world, requiring them to adapt to a new game style in a month.
