Synopsis

The chapter starts with the characters discussing their journey to meet the Ocean God and speculating about a character's fear of water. It then focuses on the annual ritual where a noble must offer gifts to the Ocean God. The surprising reveal of a previously hidden prince, Lagier, as the chosen noble creates shock and concern given his visibly poor health, and the decision is met with strong opposition, but ultimately upheld.
