Synopsis

The chapter opens with Phoenix, also known as the 'Bloodied Swordsman,' meeting Luke and Daria, whom he helped earlier. They are traveling to the mill to grind wheat, and Phoenix accompanies them for safety. At the mill, a group of thugs appears, attempting to rob them and take Daria. Phoenix stands his ground, despite the threats, and warns them about a local superstition involving a vengeful executioner spirit, ultimately deciding to fight them when they don't back down.
