Synopsis

The chapter opens with Nox killing Schultz for harassing his maid, surprising everyone with his strength and defying the expectations placed on him as a 'good-for-nothing.' His actions cause conflict with his brother, Graen, but Nox skillfully maneuvers to have their father decide the matter. Meanwhile, the subjugation mission is revealed to be more complex than anticipated with increased monster activity and the presence of a griffin near the village. A traitor is implied, and a knight attempts to take advantage of the maid, Djitr, revealing his motive of revenge against Nox, and Djitr appears to sacrifice herself.
