Synopsis

The chapter opens with beastmen attacking a human, but the human easily overpowers them with a combination of ice magic and body-strengthening techniques. While other beastmen initially dismiss the human as weak, they quickly realize he's a powerful magic user, causing a blizzard and freezing enemies solid. They are reminded of a terrifying human from 40 years ago, raising concerns about his identity and purpose. The chapter ends with other characters commenting on the magician's skill while their companions remain uninvolved due to prior instruction.
