Synopsis

Beastmen demand a path be opened to rescue their king, leading to a tense exchange with humans holding him captive. Meanwhile, a gathering of individuals, including royalty and unexpected allies, reveals prior connections and a shared goal to leave the current location. Despite an opportune moment to escape with the group, the leader grapples with their responsibility to their kingdom and citizens, torn between personal desire and duty. The chapter ends with a decision from a guard to protect the king, even if it means killing the humans.
