Synopsis

The chapter begins with the group lost in a vast snowfield, lacking maps or compasses. They are guided by the light of a magic ice crystal, which leads them to a forest where they encounter a hostile female demihuman who refuses their help. After leaving the forest, they reach a guarded border and gain passage by mentioning their powerful family names. The chapter ends with the main character reflecting on his current magic and resolving to create his own unique magical style while in a dangerous, monster-filled area called the Black Snowfield, which they are traversing to locate the Temple of Flower.
