Synopsis

Master Augustine, head of the Nerester Senate and a renowned mage, visits Elric Merbinger with the intention of making him his disciple. Elric initially plays hard to get, but Augustine abruptly teleports away with Elric, showcasing an ability beyond normal mage movement. It's then revealed that Augustine has somehow blocked Elric's mana flow, leaving him seemingly powerless. Elric, despite his predicament, expresses that this was his plan all along.
