Synopsis

The chapter opens with the demon king, Mephistopheles, frustrated at being tricked by the protagonist and forced to teach him soul speech magic. The protagonist appears to be struggling, but is actually manipulating Mephisto to gain access to the knowledge, ultimately mastering it before Mephisto realizes it. The chapter then transitions to a flashback about the protagonist's family, emphasizing their belief in battle as a necessity for growth.
