Synopsis

The Shaansi Unorthodox Faction leader, Mak, seeks a successor by presenting a test of strength: breaking a powerful stone statue. Four challengers from various regions are introduced, displaying their unique fighting styles. They all fail to break the statue, causing Mak to announce that, as none are deemed worthy to take over the faction, he will fight all four of them instead of retiring. The chapter sets the stage for a climactic battle.
