Bjorn struggles to adapt to the game world, initially surviving by equipping scavenged items and battling goblins to level up. He decides to seek a non-human overnight companion for safety, encountering an injured elf, but then is confronted by another adventurer who confesses his plans to kill Bjorn for his heart and equipment.
