Synopsis

An auction unfolds where the protagonist is consistently outbid by an old man, who seems to be intentionally targeting items the protagonist bids on, forcing him to spend millions on seemingly useless artifacts. Despite these losses, the protagonist manages to acquire a chessboard for a vast sum. Meanwhile, other characters observe the protagonist and the woman he's with, coming to the conclusion that they are a threat and initiate "Plan B", and the protagonist receives the purchased chess board, revealing it wasn't about the object itself, but the symbolism of supporting his contractor.
