The protagonists are forced to eat food potentially made from monster meat to gain an advantage against the Disciple of Gluttony, which surprisingly works. They then get attacked by the Disciple of Envy and a demonic human, while a mysterious ally offers the Saintess powers in exchange for becoming a dark disciple. It's revealed that this all is part of a plan, an ambush set up for an ambush, by a person known as Mr. Kang Jinhyuk.
The group combats the Disciple of Gluttony by eating monster meat, granting them the ability to inflict damage, while also facing the Disciple of Envy and a demonic human.
