Synopsis

The chapter opens with a B-Rank hunter reminiscing about killing his comrades, revealing he was tasked to do so brutally. He then engages in a conversation with a low-ranking hunter about the dangers of their job. The narrative shifts to show the hunter telling his family stories. Eventually, they are attacked, the low-ranking hunter tries to defend a comrade and then gets an emergency buff from a healer, and he's ready to take on the betraying assassin.
