Synopsis

The chapter begins by highlighting a pattern: wherever the Asura and Decaying Knights appear, there's a conflict over a 'something'. This 'something' is connected to the main quest and the protagonist believes that the center of these battles is where the main scenario will occur. After being summoned by a guild master, the protagonist is unexpectedly greeted by an Apostle of Thanatos in the Netherworld who guides him through a challenging trial that tests his strength where he successfully subdues all reapers, mastering death transcendence. As a reward, the apostle grants him a Divine Relic.
