Synopsis

The chapter begins with the protagonist being overwhelmed with gifts from two potential masters. He initially declines their offers to become their disciple due to his desire to travel freely, using a rehearsed speech. However, the masters reveal that they can provide him with skill books allowing him to learn their techniques without constant training, thus respecting his freedom. He receives multiple legendary-level skills, a grimoire, and an item from the imperial storeroom, before quickly leaving to avoid getting caught.
