Synopsis

Libeus misinterprets the Emperor's envoy as a potential threat due to a tournament and sends him away. This act is used by the servants of Death and Sleep to warn the Emperor. Libeus, pressured by the situation, tries contacting the Pope and learns of a significant sum of money from his online content which leads to the discovery that it is in US dollars, not local currency. The chapter ends with the Emperor ordering contact with the Pope of Death and Sleep, indicating a brewing conflict.
