Synopsis

The chapter opens with a character failing a challenge and expressing determination for the next attempt. Meanwhile, another character, observing the first character's unusual willpower, feels threatened and considers eliminating him to secure his position as the sole disciple, but worries about arousing suspicion. He then resorts to ensuring the first character is out of commission for the upcoming assessment and uses external means to accelerate his own growth. Meanwhile, a character observes both of them and wonders about the potential for the jealous disciple to change.
