Synopsis

The chapter opens with a conversation between the Regent and a visiting dignitary regarding the nature of holy and demonic powers, and the strange disruption of the natural cycle they call the 'Night of Blessings'. Meanwhile, the focus shifts to a competition where Dame Rosalin is participating, seemingly under pressure to win. Lastly, we see Lady Chloe engaging in a cryptic conversation with Sir Kalix, indicating that he has acted unexpectedly and their conversation reveals that both of them seem to be predicting the events of this competition using their own methods.
