Synopsis

The chapter opens with the knights being cheered on by the public, juxtaposed with the private contempt from the higher-ups who secretly wish for their failure and even death. Ricardis and his younger brother pledge to investigate the poison incident. The knights then leave Ilabenia and reach Balta, experiencing an unexpectedly peaceful journey. Dame Rosalin displays surprising hunting and survival skills, impressing the others with her ability to locate a clean water source and hunt for fresh food.
