Synopsis

Ciel reflects on being held like a pet and overhears a conversation revealing that her engagement to her guardian, likely a powerful figure, is politically motivated to control him due to his perceived threat to the royal family. She realizes that a contract existed between the Visenna and Jekart clans concerning a mine, and that her guardian helped her even though it was disadvantageous to him.
