Synopsis

Ciel, in a moment of panic and apparent clumsiness, torches a strand of the Grand Duke Eustia's hair. She interprets his subsequent behavior as a threat of brutal punishment, imagining a torture method involving being tied to a castle floor and screaming. However, Ciel notices a gray hair in Eustia's hair, which somehow appeases him. She avoids the 'torture by flight' and learns about the value of his hair, while also lamenting that getting outside help means she technically failed a task.
